2.1 Profile Data (Master Data):

This encompasses your name, email address, password, telephone number, date of birth, profile image, and gender.

This data constitutes your master data, essential for our Service. Creating a profile is not possible without an email address/telephone number and a password. Your age is necessary to ensure compliance with age restrictions.

By integrating contact information, users gain the advantage of an expedited friend discovery process. This enables our platform to present relevant suggestions and streamline the friend-finding journey, creating a more cohesive and engaging user experience. The utilization of contact details aligns with our commitment to user convenience, ensuring that individuals can effortlessly connect with their existing social circles and expand their network within the platform.

2.2 Location Data:

This includes your address, postcode, city, country, geo-location, and your device’s longitude and latitude.

We use location data to provide personalized recommendations for nearby restaurants, enhance the user experience through real-time updates and map integration, and facilitate efficient search features like proximity searches and distance filtering.

2.3 Device Information and Access Data:

Encompassing your device ID, device identification, operating system and version, access time, configuration settings, and IP address.

Stored for technical reasons during platform access, this information is utilized to identify suspicious behavior early and safeguard our platform.

2.4 Customer Care Data:

This includes your name, address, telephone number, email address, and social media ID (if applicable).

It is collected when you contact us, this data helps us understand and address your concerns. Interaction on social media fan pages is also tracked, without combining this data with your platform profile.

2.5 Marketing Contact and Communications Data:

Includes your name, email address, telephone number, and device ID.

It is necessary for sending newsletters, SMS, or in-app push notifications. This information is also used to personalize communication and offer alternatives.

2.6 Sensitive Information:

We do not process sensitive information. All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

2.7 Information Automatically Collected

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Service. Such an offer wall may appear in our application(s) and be displayed to you based on certain data, such as your geographic area or demographic information. When you click on an offer wall, you will be brought to an external website belonging to other persons and will leave our application(s). These providers also aid in measuring and reporting the effectiveness of these programs, sometimes by combining information obtained about you from sources other than the Service to assess the efficacy of SwotsUp’s advertising initiatives. Additionally, SwotsUp users can utilize the Find Friends feature to locate each other based on names or usernames, with visibility settings for this feature adjustable in your account settings. It’s important to recognize that the privacy of messages sent or received through the Service is contingent on both you and the recipient(s) keeping them private. For instance, if you send a message to another user, that user may opt to share it publicly. We retain the right to access, review, and disclose such messages, especially in connection with investigations related to Service use and our ongoing efforts to enhance the platform.

Data Retention:

We store data for as long as it is necessary to provide services to you and others, including those described above. Information associated with your account will be kept until your account is deleted unless we no longer need the data to provide products and Services. You can delete your account at any time.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

10 Children

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to people under 13 years of age. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Service. If we learn that personal information from users less than 13 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. We use various safeguards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and after we receive it. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or via mobile device, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We collect your contact information to enhance the security of your account and protect against automated entities on our platform. Additionally, our app lets you strengthen your account security by using phone number verification. This feature adds an extra layer of verification beyond the usual username and password, giving you more control over your account’s protection.
